Team Synapse – Pakistan Neuroscience Institute conducted a 2-day workshop for teachers of Karachi Grammar School to build their capacity in the area of Mental Health Literacy and Psychological First Aid. The program included an interactive approach, active engagement strategies, and reflection-based exercises. 

The teachers gained the skills needed for the student experience approaches like reflective listening, active listening, crisis intervention, and Psychological First Aid.

Some of the key takeaways for the teachers were, how to create a safe space for their students, listening skills, knowledge about the effects of mental health stigma on an individual and society, and awareness about common mental health conditions.
